Before visiting Dubai, I came across this building online and it really stood out to me. It certainly made my list for things to see. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, Opus is home of ME by Melia hotel and situates in Business Bay Dubai.

This architecture demonstrates simplicity and complexity through its massing. A glass cube with a large void beautifully carved through the middle is the best way to explain it. Although there’s a prominent use of glass, the straight outer edges and internal curves create a success contrast, due to the reflections produced. Theres an inviting deep blue to the void.

As I walked around the building I captured shots with a 24mm tilt shift lens and there was a slight haze in the air.
